The following are some of the features of flashplayer 10.1.

• Designed for mobility and is available for a broad range of mobile devices, including smartphones, netbooks and other Internet-connected devices, allowing your content to reach your customers wherever they are.
• Seamless integration with mobile Browsers that support Touch & Gestures through the use of SWF Focus Mode
• Provides support for mobile text input by using the native device virtual keyboards with TextField support if no physical keyboard is detected
• Provides a new HTML Parameter called “FullScreenOnSelection” which will let application (content) developers to allow their users to launch Full-Screen Mode with a single tap over the content.
• Users can also now long-tap on any SWF (flash videos) and select Full-Screen Mode
• flash player 10.1 optimizes SWF loading and playback to accomodate mobile CPU and memory limitations, thereby providing a better user experience
• The Flash Player timer slows down when the mobile device goes into screen-saver or similar mode to reduce CPU and battery consumption on mobile devices. Incoming phone calls pauses the flash player automatically!

With new HTTP streaming capabilities, application/content developers can use their standard HTTP infrastructure to stream rich media! Streaming performance is also enhanced with improved support for live events, buffer control and peer assisted networking! Flash player 10.1 also provides a number of fixes and enhancements, in addition to features that enhance developer productivity like the availability of a global error handler and the new globalization actionscript APIs!

Flash Intern

Some character design/concepts done during my last few weeks at Elliot Animation. It was definitely a fun co-op experience and i already miss the people and the work. These were done in flash as that was primarily what i worked with. I did find myself using paper and pencil as well as sketchbook pro often as well.
