Facebook Launches New Products Tools To Connect Family Of Apps

Facebook Launches New Products, Tools To Connect Family Of Apps
Facebooks annual developer conferences, F8, is just one day over, and already theyve made major announcements in terms of new platforms, products, and tools to take advantage of the social media giants entire portfolio of apps. The biggest ones concerned their Messenger app, which has now been opened for developers, and the preview of the upcoming Businesses on Messenger platform where businesses can interact directly and one-on-one with customers.

More than 2,500 developers are attending the conference and Mark Zuckerberg shared with them three things that are really important for Facebook right now: making people their first priority, giving people more apps and therefore more options to connect, and showing them the future of sharing. They want to be able to give a chance for the developers to reach this potential audience of 1.39 billion people through these products and tools that they announced, which numbered more than 25.

Aside from the aforementioned Messenger Platform and Businesses on Messenger, which we discussed in detail in another article, some of the other highlighted features include a New Share Sheet that will make it easier for people to share from apps to Facebook; Facebook Analytics for Apps; inclusion of LiveRails monetization platform; using Parse for building a new category of apps; updated Social Plugins; and probably the most exciting part, a 360-degree video experience that can let you choose which angle to view whatever youre watching.

The upcoming Day 2 of F8 is expected to bring more news from Facebooks Connectivity Lab, AI Research and Oculus. If you want to listen in on the session, you dont need to go to California. You can view the livestream here.
